Everyone has a story, not many have a solution. Each channel is bombarded with coverage of its state’s financial woes. Households are discovering innovative ways to make ends meet. Families are discontinuing family gatherings because of the unknown.
Stress is noticed everywhere. In spite of the downward economy, the lines are long at the banks. The post office is streamlining its customer service and patrons are complaining about the lack of enthusiasm to ‘get you in and out’. Road rage is prevalent due to displaced aggression.
It’s time to take responsibility for yourself to move forward. As I previously mentioned, everyone has a story. Do you think people have time to hear your problems when they have many of their own? It’s time to narrate your happy ending.
Find the good in any situation.
You can’t go on your annual family vacation.
You still have shelter and able to plan family nights.
Your credit cards are maxed out.
You’re still able to make the minimum payment.
Your department has laid off employees.
You can now shine your qualities to make a positive impact once business improves.
When it comes to money matters, the same rule applies. Hold yourself accountable and seek clarity. Find ways to [re]budget your budget. Innovation is a sexy term that will get you to the next step in any endeavor.
As an expert, I’ve noticed people complaining that they’re already sacrificing the budget. However, I notice the gourmet coffee each morning, lunch at a cafe and daily parking tickets.
If you want to improve financially and stop complaining about your situation…change it.
Instead of purchasing coffee each morning, brew a cup at home before you leave the house. Brown bag your lunch. This helps with the budget and portion control. Take the train or carpool to work. You will save in parking, gas and toll.
After months of changing your attitude, behavior and action you will notice a difference. The complaints will cease, the debt will decrease, the savings will increase.
