Yes, That's How They Found Her
Suffering in silence is what too many are doing. Yet, when offered help, sometimes our pride is bigger than common sense. Hours ago I saw a friend’s post about a missing St. Louis woman – her friends and family had been concerned because she disappeared – like “poof,” into thin air. We were asked to share the post and one of my FB friends did. One of my FB friends did. And now I find out she was shot to death and had been beaten up – by the very person who also appeared in the picture with her.
Wake up. Stand up. Speak up. This social media is a good platform for all types of things – and were it your sister, aunt, mother or friend who was missing, wouldn't you have wanted someone to care enough to share?
I think we don’t think... we don’t think it will matter or that it’s not that serious or the old “I’m on FB for entertainment, not serious stuff.” I’m sick of that s*it. And yes, I almost cussed because I mean it. We all have an obligation to be the best we can be – every single day – because each of us matters.
If you weren't here you would be missed. Someone would mourn you and someone may be wondering why their life is not as fulfilled... and it may be because of you.
Please don’t allow sensationalism, materialism and fbfrontism to stop you from helping others and also getting the help you need. Stop suffering in silence. Together we can create some solutions. Estranged and apart we get murdered by strangers or those who supposedly love us.
I’m knowing that God has accepted his daughter and bound her wounds as she is in His healing presence now --- Rest in Peace Tabatha Milton Rush, St. Louis, Missouri.
