When you start talking back to the characters, you know the author has you hooked and that is just what happened with Love Torn Asunder. The main character, Leslie annoyed me with her choices to the point I wanted to call her up myself and say "STOP IT!" It was like listening to a friend make all the wrong decisions. But, she wasn't the only one who got under my skin. There was also her best friend Devine and Devine's cousin Kendrick that got my goat too. The great thing about this book is the characters are believable, whether I like their actions or not. They are someone in your family or at your job. They might even be you!

This is an easy read about relationships, intimacy, friendships and infedelity. I am so pleased that there is a part two because there were so many things that just didn't sit right with me such as Leslie's cheating ways, Kendrick's wife (who doesn't have a name by the way) and Devine's low self esteem. Great job Elizabeth, keep them coming.

I read Love Torn Asunder and could not wait for part two to come out! I was sooo curious as to how Leslie was going to get it together and all I can say is Liz did not disappoint! I bought this book on a Friday and was done by Sunday! I could NOT put it down! The more I read the more intrigued I became with the other characters in the book. They are so true to life and relatable that it's hard to define exactly how you feel about them because there are so many human layers to them. One moment I hated them and their actions and the next I felt torn because they are all humans trying to make it through life as best they can. Now I am on edge waiting for the next installment! As interesting as Leslie and her story are I am now dying to know about HER, Devine and Kendrick! I found this book to be delightfully refreshing and made me pause and think and consider that in life nothing is as easy or non complicated as you may think! Thank you Liz for providing an interesting, drama filled, AND thought provoking tale!
