"Jesus Wants to Be Our Friend"----Author: Felana Milbourne

Do you remember the song, “What a friend we have in Jesus….All our sins and grieves to bear….Can we find a friend so faithful, who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness; Take it to the Lord in prayer”.

I remember hearing that song almost every Sunday morning at my home church in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. What an absolutely AWESOME song and it is the theme song to this book, “Jesus Wants to Be Our Friend”.

This book has been purposefully designed to be plain, simple, and to the point because it is really rather simple to become a Christian.

The world would have us think otherwise. The reality of it is, becoming a Christian is a matter of having a made up mind to believe in Christ and to not allow ourselves to be bamboozled by some of the false teachings of today. (Example: There is no God; Jesus was just a profit, etc.) I cannot stress enough the importance of our not getting caught up into the world’s “belief/faith system”. We need not be disenchanted. The Bible clearly states: I Timothy 2:5—

“There is only one God and Christ Jesus is the only one who can bring us to God.” Any other teaching, philosophy, etc. that is being transmitted into the atmosphere is a LIE from Satan himself! In other words…DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE!!
