Most of us have the "same old, same old" when it comes to business cards. They are the standard size with a glossy finish. This became popular over cards without a glossy finish once people started to incorporate beautiful artwork into their business cards. We are now used to seeing high quality images and photographs instead of just the simple - logo - name/title - contact info.
We've now moved on to SILK cards. Maybe you've seen them, but just didnt know what they…

When it comes to having your own blog, it's going to take some work - from setting up your structure - to actually posting new content on a regular basis. That being said, I encourage all my clients to use WordPress. The fact is, Wordpress is a very powerful content management system (cms) not just for blogs, as it is commonly known for, but for most websites period. Here are a few reasons why...
•The setup: In fact, with so many hosting companies offering…

How many times have you requested bids or proposals from multiple sources, but you already knew who was going to get the business? I know I have...Well, that used to be a part of my corporate "job". I busted my butt getting apples-to-apples numbers from hungry and thirsty, well qualified businesses, when I knew good and well "corporate" was going to have the Board select their favorites. Obviously getting those numbers was my job...not helping a Board make the best decision. Glad those days…

I've been out and about lately and have run into lots of friends and family. I keep hearing, "You look smaller" as they either point to - or poke (in the case of relatives) my waist area. Now I KNOW....that is nothing but the WRAPS! And quietly kept, I haven't been able to keep enough in my personal inventory to wrap as often as I can. But I have gone thru 4 or 5 wraps and what can I say...the way I look in my clothes tells it all!
The lower abdomen is still stubborn, but then…

In this day and age there is no reason why you shouldn't have a website for your business or personal brand. The fees for domain names and hosting are relatively cheap and there are even free website services out there to accommodate those "zero budgets". Naturally, you will want a website that is customized to look and function the way you want it to, so hiring a designer/developer is the way you want to go.
I started designing and building websites a couple of years ago with…

I'm on my 4th wrap now, using The Ultimate Body Applicator, and I was pleasantly suprised when I put on THAT dress I couldnt zip up two weeks ago. Two weeks ago, before I tried the wrap, I pulled the dress out of the closet that I havent tried on since LAST summer and put it on. Oh well, I thought...it was still the same. I could only get it zipped if I pulled up the straps making the waist line of the dress hit that skinny spot right under the breasts. Yall know what I'm talking about...its…

Even though I'm running Flash of Brilliance and I've got lots on my plate with administrative work, graphics and websites, I couldnt resist when one of my clients unveiled another business opportunity to me. Now I'm running FOB and I Got The Wraps and the last two weeks have been crazy (but rewarding). I had to take some time to strategize how I would give both businesses the time and attention needed so that they both flourish. There isn't any doubt that I can do it as I remember...Please.…

If you've been following, then you know all about the excitement with The Ultimate Body Applicator. Wednesday night I wrapped again - which makes wrap #2 and this time I didnt bloat. When I took it off, my skin felt really good. Even when I pinched the fat, it felt different. Before I could grab the fat and feel like little bumps and lumps. I dont feel that now. I realize my stomach has always been a…

This past Sunday night I tried The Ultimate Body Applicator for the first time. It was about 9:30 at night and by then, I had eaten a whole bunch (throughout the day), and had been sitting in my office doing work. I don't know about you, but when the day winds down...My mid section is definitely bigger. Nothing compared to the "first wake up-stomach looks flat" version I see in the mornings. So I thought, this is the…

Now you think it's time to hire some administrative help. Not only will this help your operations run more smoothly, but you know it will also impress your clients. And because things are going good, you've got the extra funds to pay for the administrative help. So, what do you do next?…

Seriously, do you want others to define who you are and what your business is all about? While its true that the market can give you direction for your business plans, you're still the one who knows your business best. When you take measures to clearly define the concepts and values of your business, you are developing a personal brand. And in essence, you are establishing an "expert" status for your business. Your consumers and everyone else you serve will begin to trust you and…

Ahhh...memories of high school fill my head when I hear MC Breed's tune. We used to get a kick out of sarcastically using the song in reference to girls who wore weaves - long before weave became a standard hair accessory. I know. Silly and kinda mean...but it was high school.
Today I'm reminded of the tune when thinking about the credibility of individuals striving to be or already are business owners and providers of professional services. A diligent consumer will want to…

Today I checked out the Career Transitions Center, located a little west of the Loop (in Chicago) and was quite impressed at the services they offer. Its a non-profit, sponsored by a group of faith based organizations like Old St. Pat's and DePaul University that provides 1 on 1 coaching and resources to individuals who are self-directing their career goals.
It's taken me so long to get over there because from what I knew, I didnt think CTC would be benefitial to me. Well, I…
