Traveling is a life expanding experience - Where was your first trip out of the country??
I was just remembering my first trip to a foreign country and being from California, Mexico was the closest. We would go to Tijuana on occation, but the vacation to Mexico City was a big deal. I was about 14 and the oldest of 4 brothers and sisters.

My new book “Voices of Daughters” ...Begging for a voice, asking to simply be heard!
As a researcher, I will be eternally greatful to the fathers and daughter who graciously allowed me in their homes, their lives and in their hearts. After conducting more than 40 interviews, the poems in my new book “Voices of Daughters” simply began to channel through me; begging for a voice…asking to simply be heard. It is important that their love, pain, joys, struggle, heartbreaks and successes, experienced through their life journeys together, be told. Equally as important is…
