I don't know if there were cruises back then, but I 'm sure we couldn't have afforded it anyway, so we took our white oldsmobile station wagon with a luggage rack on the top and headed out.
You don't see cars like that any more, but…Continue

Whenever you want to know what happened at a specific date and time, what you would do is open your novel and flip the pages, when you get to that particular incident you looking for, you would stop and read. Let’s face it: we all have negative or bad experiences in the past that we just cannot seem to get past. There are just certain things, that when remembered, always cause anxiety and anger to build up inside us. And we have to admit that…Continue
Losing a spouse is perhaps one of the most emotionally grueling experiences an adult can go through in their lifetime. The deafening emptiness of your home without your partner, the realization of dependency on your spouse, and the loss of everything that you once shared with – companionship, a friend, a person to turn to for advice - these are hard pills to swallow. For women,…Continue
As I’ve said, pain management is one of the most challenging yet most rewarding tasks I tackle as a Nurse Practitioner. Last week I provided a tool for the assessment of pain. Today I want to talk about why pain management is important and why treatment isn’t always adequate.
First, why is pain management essential in the elderly? Well, you may say, no one wants to hurt. True. Quality of life is essential. And most people with pain report depression, insomnia, and anxiety. In turn,…Continue

Dawgelene Sangster, MA, CPC- Life is about choices. We choose to get up; we choose to be in a relationship; we choose to reach out to others; we choose to open up and allow others to reach us; we choose to live a life of purpose. The bottom line is that we have the ability to CHOOSE, regardless of our circumstances, to do what is right, according to what works us; our values, etc.

no, and the ones who are in my daily circle that I consider as friends or associates. Someone made this stat-
