These kids need our help!!

I was contacted by Gwen Kelly, a volunteer at Gillespie Park Elementary School here in Greensboro, NC. This school is in NEED! Are you SERIOUS???

How many times have you requested bids or proposals from multiple sources, but you already knew who was going to get the business? I know I have...Well, that used to be a part of my corporate "job". I busted my butt getting apples-to-apples numbers from hungry and thirsty, well qualified businesses, when I knew good and well "corporate" was going to have the Board select their favorites. Obviously getting those numbers was my job...not helping a Board make the best decision. Glad those days…

Encouraging Our Sisters

Be thankful for every woman that made your life better, and the ones that may have given you challenges. You can reflect on all of those things and be a pioneer for the next generation of women who desperately need you to help them go in a positive direction. Of course, this does not mean that you should go out and be terror on two feet for someone because you want to challenge her, but you can do the following to breathe life into other women:

1. Encourage them in…

Proper Tenant Screening Reduces Rental Turnover and Eviction Costs

One of the most important services that E-Rentalz provides is the Eviction History check. Doing your due diligence in this area is much worth the effort as evictions are often a nasty and costly process. For example, a landlord may incur a negative cash flow for every month leading up to the court date while the rent is not paid. Additionally, you also have to consider the court filings fees, the cost to… Continue

What Special Someday Are We Saving For?

My brother-in-law opened the bottom drawer of my sister's bureau and lifted out a tissue-wrapped package.

"This," he said, "is not a slip. This is lingerie."

He discarded the tissue and handed me the slip. It was exquisite: silk, handmade and trimmed with a cobweb of lace. The price tag with an astronomical…

Why Is It... A man wakes up in the morning after sleeping in an advertised bed, washes with an advertised soap, shaves with an advertised razor, sits down and drinks advertised tea or coffee, drives to work in an advertised car and writes with an advertised pen. Then... He refuses to advertise, saying "Advertising doesn't work". But when his business fails, he finally advertises: "Business for Sale" - Anonymous
