Traveling is a life expanding experience - Where was your first trip out of the country??

I was just remembering my first trip to a foreign country and being from California, Mexico was the closest. We would go to Tijuana on occation, but the vacation to Mexico City was a big deal. I was about 14 and the oldest of 4 brothers and sisters.

I don't know if there were cruises back then, but I 'm sure we couldn't have afforded it anyway, so we took our white oldsmobile station wagon with a luggage rack on the top and headed out.
