 The first week of @MADDRHYTHMS Tap Academy Spring classes went GREAT and you can still register. Yesterdays rehearsal  and last night's first M.A.D.D. Movie Night was pretty cool! Building and bonding on and off the wood!

 Yesterday, I was honored as one of Verizon's Everday Heroes. As I was standing there with my awards and they were snapping pictures, I couldn't help but think about the Joseph Kony situation, Trayvon Martin's MURDER and the countless young people who died this weekend in Chicago. I was truly honored, appreciative and humbled by the recognition, but we have so much work to do!

 Today was a day that grounded me! 1st, I got the news that my teens were selected to perform in ASM's Citywide Showcase and then a young man who used to be in my program years ago, came to visit. We talked about him staying out of trouble and 10 minutes after he left, he was involved in a shooting. We have much work to do in our community and today reminded me of just that!

  Had a rhythm-filled weekend! Taught @MADDRHYTHMS Tap Academy Classes on Thursday & Saturday, Stepped Into The Bad Side @DreamGirlsChicago on Saturday night and dug deep to dance outside my comfort zone in @MADDRHYTHMS rehearsal on Sunday!
