‘Secret Millionaire’ Gary, Indiana Edition Aired 3/20 *Full Episode*

Yvonne Kemp had no idea James Malinchak was a “Secret Millionaire” when he visited her organization last summer.

Malinchak, a millionaire and nationally known motivational speaker (www.malinchak.com), posed as a documentary filmmaker who was merely interested in Kemp’s agency, Adonia Community Services Inc.

Adonia is a grassroots, not-for-profit organization located in the Midtown section of Gary, at 1601 Broadway.

Since Kemp founded her agency two years ago, saying she used $700,000 of her own money, and her staff and workers have performed projects to better and beautify the city.

For one week, Malinchak worked alongside Adonia’s staff, workers and volunteers with a film crew in tow. He worked hard, he didn’t refuse a job, and he kept his identity a secret until the last day of shooting.

“He didn’t do no complaining about the hard work,” Kemp noted.

Then he dropped the bombshell.

“He told me that he wasn’t being fully honest with me,” said Kemp, who moved to Gary from Chicago in 2006. “He said, ‘I’m a millionaire’ and I said, ‘what?’!’” I was in complete shock.”

Malinchak is one of several millionaires who will appear on the new reality TV show, “Secret Millionaire.” The show’s premise is simple: A millionaire leaves behind his or her lifestyle for one week, going undercover to discover “unsung heroes” of America who help those in need.
